About us
Why Greenera?
As climate risks intensify and navigating policy shifts and stakeholder expectations is becoming complex, organisations need to be able to accelerate their climate action.
Climate change is a deeply interconnected challenge — one that cannot be separated from the destruction of biodiversity, rising inequality, poverty, and unsustainable resource use. Yet, organisations need to believe there is a way forward — one where climate action becomes a driver of true transformation: restoring ecosystems, regenerating communities, and addressing structural injustices. Done right, climate action is not just about minimizing harm — it’s about building something better.
We do not think that sustainability should be a core mission of every organisation but we believe every organisation can play a positive role.
Many organizations want to act, yet their efforts are often siloed and detached from business strategy and culture. Many others see sustainability as a compliance exercise. Throughout our careers, again and again, we found ourselves in a familiar pattern — organisations or their sponsors would ask for an external provider to develop a climate training programme, deliver workshops or build an AI solution, but without building internal consensus or real engagement. The result? Documents that are not used, climate training fatigue, and tech solutions that cost a lot, but don’t create the desired results. People don’t learn when they are not engaged, or they know how to apply what they’ve learned or why it matters.
There’s no shortage of climate trainings, expert advice or technical solutions — the real scarcity lies in organisations’ ability to make full, meaningful use of them.
We studied what drives transformation, inspires and sustains action, brings people together: we explored climate coaching, systems change and change management, and the various approaches to making institutional and collaborative learning effective and impactful. We realised the foundational power of people understanding and embracing „the why” of climate transformation of their work and institutions. Then we built a way of working that’s rooted in real engagement — one that brings together deep expertise, practical tools, and the space for people to grow into their roles as agents of change
Greenera was born from experience — and from a growing sense that the approach to building climate capacities needs to change. It needs to be systemic, embedded in and supporting business transformation, engaging and adaptive.
